Cardinal Chibly Langlois

Today, Father Chibly Langlois was officially installed as Cardinal.  He received a special blessing from Pope Francis who, I am certain, congratulated and wished him the best with his new responsibilities.  If you have missed the consistory this morning, EWTN will show it again tonight.  In the Philadelphia area, it will be at midnight.  Please check your area EWTN for the exact time.

Chibly Langlois – New Cardinal

Tomorrow, February 22, 2014, is a special day for Haiti, all Haitians, and Haitians at Heart.  Our beloved country is being honored through Father Chibly Langlois officially becoming a Cardinal.  No one, whether Roman Catholic, Catholic or not, should take this consistory lightly; this is no ordinary event (consistory/consistoire protocols).  So, let us join together in spirit to say a special prayer for this gentleman, to wish him well, to extend warm congratulations for his promotion, to have risen to one of the most respected positions within the RC church, to avoid pitfalls, and to gain more strength in his continued journey to imitate Jesus’ life.  May God bless Father Langlois and, through him, Haiti.

Have you Heard? Blessings Upon Haiti

We have a cardinal.  Pope Francis announced on January 12, 2014, on the 4th anniversary of the Earthquake, that Bishop Chibly Langlois of Les Cayes, major town in the southern part of Haiti, is one of the new 16 Cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church.  Pray for this man to continue his journey doing his best to be like Jesus.  Time to celebrate this blessing upon our beloved Haiti Cherie.
